Happy is the man, I thought to myself, who, before dying, has the good fortune to sail the Aegean Sea.

Nikos Kazantzakis, Greek Zorba

Greece has always been a favorite destination for the Romanian tourist, who loves the sea and the beach. It’s totally understandable, since it has plenty of islands scattered around two seas: the Aegean Sea to the East and the Ionian Sea to the West.

Our goal is to show you all of these island. Because the islands are the main attraction of Greece. The resources on the islands are limited and people had to be moderate about them, thus creating more charming settlements as on mainland. They also enclose more culture, mythology and local color. From fortresses and venetian towns in the Ionian Sea to picturesque villages and towns like Santorini in the Cyclades or Skiathos in the Sporades. You can even find luxurious beaches like the ones in the Carribean or wild beaches, like the ones in Turkey.

All in all, the Greek islands have pretty much everything to offer. It’s up to you and what you would like to explore!
